Julia Roberts and Christy Turlington L'Oreal Ads Banned in the UK! - A Little Alytude | A Little Alytude

Julia Roberts and Christy Turlington L’Oreal Ads Banned in the UK!

Just read that a British watchdog agency banned two L’Oreal ads for being too photoshopped and for being misleading to consumers. The ads feature shots of Julia Roberts and of Christy Turlington, showing perfect skin, no pores and no wrinkles.

They say the ads sends a message to advertisers that ads that are digitally enhanced too much will be banned. The group says the ads constitute false advertising, because they misrepresent what the product can do.

How do you feel about this? Do you think airbrushing of celebrity photos is akin to false advertising?

I’m thrilled and hope it forces companies to stop the false advertising
