I used to coyly blame my lack of body temperature on my lack of body fat. And giggle. Twenty pounds lately, I no longer can claim such matters — or wear a bikini – and thus, my search is for an awesome cozy sweater that will keep me warm as I find a new way to rationalize my downfall. So Awesome: Banana Republic’s New Mad Men Collection

This week, Banana Republic begins to offer a mega-awesome Mad Men-inspired capsule collection, and I had the opportunity to this morning attend an intimate preview launch event. (There’s nothing like a Bloody Mary and red lipstick before 9 am!) It was so fun, and I got to try on a bunch of pieces from the the 65-piece line for men and women. For all of you who don’t watch the series (I have no idea why that would be, it’s amazing!) the line is inspired by the sixties outfits the cast wears on the show, Mad Men costume designer Janie Bryant, who has done her own QVC line and is thinking of launching her own clothing line, worked with Banana Republic creative director Simon Kneen on the collection.
