Celebrating National Pink Day — A Day Late

You know things are a bit crazed in your world when — even as a avowed lover of all things pink — you completely forget to celebrate National Pink Day.

The world was thinking pink yesterday — I am making it up to my fellow extra girlie-girls and celebrating TODAY.

There’s actually much to celebrate today — Welcome to ALittleAlytude.com — which, believe it or not, was born today. The site has existed on SheKnows.com for six years — since long before many people knew what a blog was — but my blog had outgrown its childhood bedroom, and as of today, has moved out and into its very own home.

It’s a little hard to leave what is familiar and start out on your own — it’s probably the reason I lived at home during college and am afraid to leave the BlackBerry for the iPhone (or even TRY the latter) – we get comfortable in a situation, even when the walls begin to feel a little smaller and closed in around us.

As you know, I heart just about everything pink and in honor of today — the birth of my new blog baby (or at least my big baby’s new digs) – and yesterday being National Pink Day, I have decided to, rather than mourn what has been — celebrate what is.

So right now, I’m wearing these fabulous Enzo Angiolini Scarla Suede Pumps ($100) with pink intimates, a pink sundress and a giant cup of coffee – in bed. Because momma had a big day, and it’s barely lunch time — but she may as well look as pretty in pink as possible while she’s at it.
