Planning Black Friday? Here’s some great deals to look forward to!

Myself, I’m not a big Black Friday shopper — brick and mortar, that is. I’m all about the online bargain, and will likely spend all of Friday in my robe, eating my mom’s leftover turkey.

But once upon a time, we were. We’d high tail it to the Green Acres (Valley Stream, Long Island, for you non NYCers), at 6 am, thermos of coffee in toe, and shop-fight our finest. But then we got jaded, and tired, and, well, the Internet was here to pick up the pieces.

Shopping online or off can be an Olympic sport — if you have a credit card that offers reward points, you can get something back for all the purchases you make during the holiday season. This is another great way of saving money while you shop! Ultimate gift with purchase, I think.

A lot of bargains are still to be discovered, but here’s some many of you will want to make note of:

Walmart  has pretty much cancelled Thanksgiving this year, starting their holiday sale at 10 pm Thanksgiving night – but if you blow off your family and head to the mall, you will be first in line for an LG Blu-ray Player for $38, a 32″ Emerson HDTV for $148 and an iPad 2 for $399 with a bonus $75 Walmart gift card. And when these items sell out (because they so will), you’ll receive a Guarantee Card for the item ensuring that you’ll receive it before Christmas.

Best Buy opening i midnight on Black Friday. Their sales include a 15.6″ Lenovo laptop for $187.99 and a wi-fi ready Toshiba Blu-ray player for $39.99. That’s pretty amazing – that’s the Blu-ray I have (and it was a lot more than $40!)

Target, too, is bah-humbug-ing the turkey and will open at  9pm on Thanksgiving.  But check out some of the deals that you can score if you skip the pie (you’ll save calories too!) – You can grab a 32″ Apex 1080p LCD HDTV for $147, a Nook Simple Touch e-Reader is $49 (that’s about half off),  AND if you are afraid your family will never speak to you again — all the Black Friday deals are ALSO available Thanksgiving day at Target.com.

Sears
My mom called me last night and alerted me to THIS one — some of the best electronics deals this season are at Sears. Starting at 8pm on Thanksgiving night you can buy a 32″ HDTV for just $97.
