Wishing I could unsee the unseen acne I’ve now seen!

Wishing I could unsee the unseen acne I’ve now seen!

There’s few things more annoying than a major breakout just before a big event. But what if you could see that breakout weeks or even months in advance? Then, you might be about to take preventive steps to ward it off before it occurs! A few weeks ago, I was excited to fly out to Manhattan Beach, California for Neutrogena’s Skin Health Summit. I learned so much there that I’m absolutely going to be sharing in the days and weeks to come, but first I had to share this crazy photo. At Neutrogena’s corporate headquarters, they have a (scary) awesome acne camera known as a Clinical Skin Imager. See those little red fluorescent spots?  That’s unseen acne. Breakouts that have yet to occur – but are already under the surface, creating...

Can we replace towels with a nifty new body drying gadget?

Can we replace towels with a nifty new body drying gadget?

I’ve been blogging a lot lately about feeling like I’ve outgrown my home, and everything in it. A furniture-sized exclamation mark was placed on this feeling tonight when I returned from a Memphis business trip (so fun!), retired to my tub to recover from a long, hard travel day — and then watched in horror as my towel rack fell right off my wall as I reached to towel off. Now, while I’d never suggest coping with such a random series of (albeit annoying) events by giving up on said towels and towel racks entirely, I do believe in karmic timing. And so, tonight, annoyed at my home falling apart in new and exciting ways and web-researching for if anyone else out there was faring better than myself this weekend, I learned there’s...

Steal the Look: Kaley Cuoco at the Kids Choice Awards

You may be stuck inside on a rainy Saturday, but for some of our favorite starlets, there’s a lot of fun going on tonight. mark Celebrity Makeup Artist Jamie Greenberg paired a pink glossy lip with an edgy eye for Kaley Cuoco at the 2014 Kids Choice Awards today. “The inspiration was girly punk,” Greenberg said. “We smoked out the eye and gave it some black liner for the edge and kept the lip girly with a gloss.” Here’s how to get the look from Jamie Greenberg: Eyes: Start with mark Please Hold Eye Primer as a base, layer on i-mark eye shadow in Chenille on the inside of the lid and i-mark eye shadow in Pewter on the outside of the lid. Giveaway: Win a Keurig Special Edition Brewing System

I’m headed out of town (yes, again) in the wee hours of the morning tomorrow, and just spent the morning walking around my neighborhood, catching up on pre-trip errands. As I did, I found myself gazing wistfully into real estate office windows. I feel like I’m — along with a lot of other people in my world — going through a sort of crossroads. Some are moving, some are getting married, others are having babies — all in all, we’re at various stages of growing pains, looking for the next thing. The big move. Or even just a little one. I love my neighborhood. I even sort of love my apartment. But it’s small. Too small. As in — I am a 30+ year old woman with a twin-sized bed and a junior fridge small. And I want...
