Holy cuteness: Casio Unveils Limited Edition XW-G1 Synthesizer

I’m not really musically inclined (more, musician inclined perhaps?) – but holy adorable that Casio has introduced their new limited edition XW-G1 synthesizer created by design duo, Dee & Ricky Jackson.

The designers have also created Casio G-Shock collections. The XW-G1 designs features a Lego block design and neon leopard print patterns.

Seriously, if Betsey Johnson ever had a keyboard, it’d look something like that (except the Lego block design would have shocks of pink rather than blue, and that would be awesome.)

The synthesizer has 61 keys and Casio’s Hybrid Processing Sound Source, which provides screaming virtual analog monophonic leads and basses, drawbar organs, complex layers, stereo pianos, drums and more. It also features two virtual analog style oscillators, two PCM based oscillators, a noise oscillator and an external oscillator via mic and line inputs. The XW-G1 has four controller knobs, pitch blend and modulation wheels as well as nine sliders. The keyboard also has MIDI ports and a USB port.

Music¬†aficionados, would this baby be on your holiday wish list? It’s not that far away!

I have played a lot of different musical instruments all my life and when I started it was on a Casio! This one looks like the bomb, would be nice to have one.
