Giveaway: Vosges Chocolates and Scribd 3-Month Membership

harlequinEvery so often, a friend or colleague will ask me what I like to read.

I think they assume I’m going to say something very different than the reality. I’m obsessed with naughty romances. In fact, always have been.

When I was a teen, I would be at the library weekly, loading up on Harlequin novels. That paired with my love of soap operas is probably why I have such a distorted idea of sex and romance. Wait, you mean we didn’t get drenched in sweat and scream out in passion last night? WHY THE HELL NOT? When your first introduction to sex is through romantic fiction, you have a very distorted reality of what is “normal” in passion.

I’m way past my teenage years, but still love romance. Be it historical, supernatural, or down and dirty in an alley or with a cowboy in his barn, I have that book. Or, maybe have fantasized about writing it.

I’m headed to Italy in a few days (yay!), and am working on my plane-time reading list. I love a good love story, more Hallmark than Harlequin. Have a wonderful trip!

  2. I love to read but my time is so limited nowadays that I keep it light! Romances, comedies, fantasy… I love it all. :)

My favorite genre to read is either mystery/suspense or fiction/literature (usually modern classics… I have a soft spot for dystopian lit too!). Also I love biographies!

I’m a sucker for romance, and love it to be a good juicy dirty book for sure! I enjoy a variety of genres, but usually pick romance 9 out of 10 times. ;)

My obsession is Sci Fi. I’ve been a nerd since before it was cool to be a nerd.
