Giveaway: Check out these Black Friday/Cyber Monday Nescafe Dolce Gusto deals (and win a Melody 2!)

dolceugstoThis weekend, I was on a press trip, and one night at dinner, a conversation arose about divisive foods.

My friends and I were discussing items like cilantro, beets, mushrooms – generally, you either love them or hate them — and there’s very seldom middle ground.

When it comes to holiday shopping, I think the same may be said for Black Friday. Whether you’re hitting the stores at 4 am on Black Friday (I don’t recommend it) or logging on from your couch – there’s great deals to be had.

Check out this preview of the deals Nescafé Dolce Gusto is offering.

  • Save 50% off of Melody 2
  •  Only $50 for Piccolo + Travel Mug +1 box of coffee bundle (this is CRAZY PANTS)
  • Save 20% on three or more boxes of coffee

As you may recall, I’m a huge Dolce Gusto fan. Also a fan of: Not going out on Black Friday, and doing all my shopping from home. In my yoga pants. While drinking coffee. In fact, I wrote an article about my shop-at-home Black Friday plans this week for Huffington Post!

(See how this all came full circle?)

And in celebration of that — I’m giving away a Nescafe Dolce Gusto Melody 2 Coffee Maker to one reader! My Dolce Gusto is one of the very best things in my life. It has a professional-level 15 bar pressure system (similar to coffee houses), and a patented custom control lever that is specifically designed to optimize the extraction pressure. This is a great gift idea, but honestly, if I were you and won it – I’d keep it for myself!

To enter to win:

1 – Make sure you are following @AlyWalansky on Twitter and RT this giveaway

2 – Tell me your own holiday shopping survival tip. Can be anything!

3 – EXTRA CREDIT: Pick any OTHER blog post here from the last month and comment on it. (Please refrain from commenting with the word “comment” — doesn’t count!)

Deadline to enter is December 1. Good luck!

I do two things… (1) I shop in the summer when the crowds are thin and other holiday sales are taking place, and (2) online shopping is the way to go!!

Dinnertime. during the week…from 5 -7pm… the best times..

I retweeted twice! Cause I LOVE my Dolce Piccolo, but am droooling over the Melody 2.

    My tip:
At this time of the year, I stock up on some good quality meats, cheeses, olives, roasted red peppers and sundried tomatoes, also, some really good crackers (like Rainforest) and I store some of that bake at home bread. That way when someone drops in, or I have a short notice visit, I can put out an amazing spread and look like a genius! (and there is no stress or cooking involved, which can be a blessing at times).

My best holiday tip is practice saying “NO” ahead of time and say no to bad/too much booze, crummy food, stupid favors, spending beyond your budget . . . thinking you have to be everything to everyone.

My holiday shopping survival tip is to treat yourself too! Whether it’s a facial, a little alone time unplugging all the communication devices & just listening to music, a long, hot bath or taking a coffee break with my fave coffee…I find I need some time to de-stress, recharge myself & then I can deal with all the craziness with a smile on my face, a good attitude & enjoy the holiday shopping!

My holiday shopping survival tip is toa avoid malls and the strip stores around malls. I scope out potential boutiquey shopping areas all year, you know those areas with cute, independent shops and then do my shopping there. On weekday afternoons.
