Travel skin save: A USB Humidifier
So, you guys, my skin sort of hates me.
It’s been pretty weird: It’s mid-November, I’ve only been to cold (or, lukewarm, at best) weather climates of late. And, right now, I have a peeling sunburn on my chest!
So, maybe it’s not the skin that hates me, but the sun?
That’s a reminder though we should be wearing SPF every day. Even, apparently, while Christmas shopping in late fall/early winter.
As we get closer to winter, dry air appears to be EVERYWHERE. And even if you have a humidifier to help with your skin’s suffering at home, chances are you aren’t throwing it into your carryon when you travel.
I just found this Satechi portable USB humidifer($30) and I’m rather intrigued by it. This you COULD fit in your bag and you are prepared! Just, um, maybe schedule a fresh blowout for the morning.
Today, I wrote an xoJane guide on how to help our skin survive the winter. Hope you have a chance to check it out!
I think it’s so cool that something so simple and useful like this has been created. Now people don’t even have lug around the huge and expensive humidifiers.
Wow. This is amazing. I’m a wreck without one, good to know that this travel-sized one exists.
Thanks for pointing this out!
I love this idea
omg – what a great idea! my daughter is starting the rounds of college auditions and does vocal competitions and let me tell you – TSA does NOT like seeing giant humidifiers in your carry on.
What a great idea! This is going on my wishlist!
such a great idea. I cannot believe it took this long to invent this and bring it to market. Kicking myself that I never thought of it
Great find (and xoJane guide)!
Yes! I had no idea such a thing existed! My skin is already parched and I’ve been shopping humidifiers all day ….and now I find this cute handy one here at your site! Love it. :)
This is SUCH a good idea. It’s so freakin’ dry in my bedroom!
