Matthew Williamson collabs with Benefit for awesome ’70s-inspired kit

Matthew Williamson has partnered with Benefit cosmetics to launch a super fun makeup kit inspired by the 70s and Studio 54 available starting right now!  Called The Rich is Back, includes an eyeshadow palette, mascara, gimme fever cheek powder with brush and lip gloss. Find it here on Sephora.com for $34.

Williamson chats about the kit in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, saying his philosophy on beauty for women is the same as his clothes. “It’s not about forcing a square peg in a round hole, it is about individuality, accentuating what feels right for you. Makeup is a tool to help women feel confident and positive and I don’t think there’s one right way. I don’t have one defined checklist because I don’t have that in my clothes.

The kit is perfect for my summer travel carry-on and includes virtually everything I need (other than my BB cream, SPF, and Bug Guard, of course) – including 3 pretty shimmer shadows with  a rich teal that simply LOVES being paired with blonde hair, a gorgeous bold red gloss, a mini mascara, and an awesome  blush-bronzer hybrid — perfect for us fair-skinned ladies who want to spend this summer being anything-but.
