Priceless Giveaway: I’m Giving Away Yankees Tix!

I’ve been remiss in sharing important details of my life.

As in, a few weeks ago, I was a guest of MasterCard at a Yankees game (against the Devil Rays) and made some new very awesome friends. So awesome that a certain Joba Chamberlain gave me his jersey. And is now my Twitter friend. And is quite cute. And sort of like a wounded soldier… But that’s not what this post is supposed to be about…

ANYWAY, as part of MasterCard’s “Priceless” campaign, there’s a Yankees game — they hid Yankees seats throughout the city in partnership with Facebook Places.

Fans and players alike can find the chairs and check in on Facebook, and then win all sorts of awesome prizes, some that are Yankee related, some that aren’t. Prizes include meet-and-greets with amazing Yankees (like my new pal Joba), a “safari sleepover” at the Bronx Zoo,  and access to a new section of Yankee Stadium known as Batter’s Eye View – which includes a MasterCard Batter’s Eye Cafe.

(Check out more about the program at MasterCard.com/PricelessNY.) The aim, as I learned during my date with MasterCard (and the Yankees), was to “put a little more ‘Priceless’ in [customer’s] lives.”

Some of you may have already seen MasterCard’s “New Friends” commercial already — it goes a little like this: “A young guy walks around New York City doing something very priceless — whomever he sees wearing anything ‘Yankees’ he gives a ticket to the new MasterCard Batter’s Eye seats at Yankee Stadium. At the game, everyone who received a ticket is there and gives the young man a standing ovation as he happily looks at his new friends at the seats.”

Do you want to make some new friends?

I am going to make it happen! I have 2 pairs of tickets for this Saturday’s Yankees game and 3 pairs for Sunday’s game (that’s July 30th and 31st!). Both games are against the Orioles, with a 1:05 pm start time. I’m giving these tix away. (And yes, ALL tix are in the Batter’s Eye seats, which is where I sat when I was there, and they are INCREDIBLE.)

To have your chance to win one of these pairs of tix, you must do all of the following:

1 – Follow @alywalansky AND @mastercard on Twitter — and retweet this giveaway!

2 – Tweet me with why you need this priceless experience – and make sure to use the #pricelessNY hashtag

3 – Comment below letting me know your name and email address and a link to your tweets!

4 – (Extra credit) See that “subscribe” tab at right? Subscribe via email to my blog (you’ll only get one digest a day!) – and comment on some posts!

Enter by 11:59 PM tonight, winners will be notified tomorrow first thing AM – so they can receive their tix before Saturday. (Please only enter if you can physically get to the game — transportation is not included. Sorry!)
